It helps immensely if you have a second computer (I used a laptop) that you can use to VNC remote control the PC so that you can alter the settings in Powerstrip when you can't see the video output of the PC!VGA. I use a Displayport to Mini Displayport cable. For many years coax was the default output and has only recently been fully superseded by SCART or HDMI.However - re-reading the second part of your post where you mention 3-colours cable (Red, White and Yellow) it sounds like you want to feed your TV composite video (yellow) and audio (red and white). For this you will need a 3.5mm jack to stereo phono cable for the audio (Red and White) and either a video card with a TV out socket or a scan converter (VGA to composite) - the latter are not incredibly cheap, and in some cases it could be cheaper to replace your video card with one with a TV out rather than buy a converter.
